An incident involving Rory McIlroy confiscating a fan’s phone at the Players Championship, after a brutal sledge about his 2011 Masters collapse from the crowd, has taken a dramatic turn.
We’ve seen balls bounce into beers and golf cart cup holders. We’ve seen them end up in trees and next to snoozing alligators, but we’ve never seen one wedged in the derriere of a fan.
