Aussies…. we’re a strange bunch. When we’re not drinking copious amounts of beer out of people’s shoes we are, apparently, wanting to be gifted used socks from famous golfers.

Such was the case at LIV Golf Adelaide at the weekend when American superstar Bryson DeChambeau decided to have a little wager with a chirpy punter near Grange Golf Club’s practice putting green.

The Crushers GC captain was willing to sign a few hats if he could make a mid-range putt. If he missed, however, he would have to bear a little bit of his, ahem, ‘sole’.

“I want your socks,” said the spectator, kitted out in a trademark Greg Norman straw hat.

A bemused Bryson agreed. Check out what happened next:

Another angle:

That might be the strangest thing we see at a golf tournament this year but the hero for us wasn’t the great interaction between DeChambeau and the winning punter. It was Dustin Johnson’s “WTF?” reaction as a barefooted Dechambeau walked past him en route to the locker rooms.

Haha. Classic DJ but kinda what we’re all thinking, right?

Bryson, still the king of content.
