Frenchman Victor Perez lives in Scotland, resided in the Bahamas while playing on the PGA Tour in America and has family ties to Australia. He’s also one of eight LIV Golf pros now officially accepted by the DP World Tour as dovetailing the two circuits throughout 2026.
Australia’s Elvis Smylie is among eight LIV Golf players who have reached a deal with the DP World Tour allowing them to compete on both circuits. But the more significant name is the one missing from the list: Jon Rahm, whose absence throws his 2027 Ryder Cup eligibility into serious doubt.
Victor Perez has signed with LIV Golf. Perez, 33, is a three-time winner on the DP World Tour. He also competed in the 2024 Summer Olympics representing France.

It is no surprise, as the DP World Tour resumes this week in Dubai, to see the 10 players who qualified for their PGA Tour cards last season planning the months ahead in their own individual ways.
The men who have gained their PGA Tour cards through season-long play on the DP World Tour in 2023 – a Pole, a New Zealander, two Frenchmen, a Dane, a Swede, a Scotsman, a Spaniard, a Japanese and a Finn – are definitely the first of their kind.
Perez was ranked 184th in the world when the week began, and neither his professional career nor his recent form gave any hint that this was to be a career-defining week.
