Defending champion Minjee Lee leads the home charge, with six further Aussies in the field in the third women’s major of 2026. She is joined by fellow major winners Hannah Green and Grace Kim, as well as Robyn Choi, Karis Davidson, Cassie Porter and Gabi Ruffels.

After winning her third major championship last year at PGA Frisco, Lee has the possibility of completing the career Grand Slam later this season, but she is keeping those ideas firmly on the back burner ahead of this week.
“I don’t really think about it too much, but when the British [Open] or Chevron come around, it’s the hot topic,” she said. “Obviously I have a chance at the British and that would be awesome to be able to win it, but I think there is no point in me putting extra pressure on myself just to get it done.
“I’ve been on tour for quite a while now. So I know it doesn’t help me putting extra pressure on myself, especially in majors.”

This is the second time the Women’s PGA Championship has been contested at Hazeltine National, following on from Hannah Green’s victory there in 2019. The venue has also hosted four men’s and women’s US Opens, a men’s PGA Championship (in 2009) and the 2016 Ryder Cup.
“When we played last time I remember it was a little cooler and it was playing quite long,” Lee continued. “I haven’t been out there yet, but according to my caddie it’s playing a little bit differently.
“He did say you can still hit your shots to the green if you’re in the rough, so maybe that’s a little bit different from last time.
“I think the course itself is totally different to Frisco. With the layout and bunkering, the look of it is very different.”
