Wilson also tweaked the cover and mantle interaction to yield higher approach-shot spin so that more shots stay on the green. Pushing some of the ball’s weight to the extra-dense mantle layer creates a uniform density throughout the guts of the ball for more consistent spin, flight downrange and roll on the greens because there’s less chance for the weight to be off-centre.

The urethane cover has been designed for consistent spin control and soft feel.
