There’s nothing more important than having at least one karaoke song up your sleeve. You don’t want to be the person scrolling through the titles for half an hour. Or even worse, you definitely don’t want to be the umpteenth person performing all five-plus minutes of “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

As a public service, the PGA Tour’s TikTok account asked as many players as it could about what song they would go with if called upon. There were some obvious choices – smart choices – and then there were a few shockers.

Let’s start with Scottie Scheffler. Often described as a cerebral and very thoughtful player, Scheffler picks a song that is fun, catchy and ridiculously easy. It makes a lot of sense. You can’t really screw up “Tequila”, in more ways than one.

Max Homa, on the other hand, goes for as difficult a selection as one can make. Any Alicia Keys song is going to require heart, soul and a voice from the heavens, so as much as we respect his choice and want to see him perform it immediately, there’s a strong chance it goes very, very poorly.

We don’t need to break down every single karaoke selection (you can watch the video yourself), but there were certainly a few others that stood out at first glance. Keith Mitchell going with Nelly’s “Grillz”, Justin Thomas trying out “Candy Shop” by 50 Cent and K.H. Lee wanting to take down “Industry Baby” by Lil Nas X are all a bit surprising, but we’re game to watch and listen if they’re game to karaoke.

We do have to put a ban on Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’”, though. We’ve heard it enough. Out of this relatively small pool, we have two with that choice. You can only hear “Just a small town girl/Livin’ in a lonely world” a certain amount of times before you lose your mind.
