Bob Vokey, Titleist’s master craftsman for wedges, has long considered his M grind his favourite among his myriad grind designs. However, the grind was previously only available in lofts of 56 degrees and higher and only with 8 degrees of bounce. That’s now changed as the company is introducing a limited 54-degree offering with 8 degrees of bounce.

Designed for players that like to rotate the club face open and closed to manufacture shots around the green, the M grind is a medium bounce wedge that features a heel, toe and trailing edge sole grind and is designed for players who want a sand wedge to play in medium to firm soil conditions or firmer bunkers.

“It is also ideal for the golfer with a shallower, neutral, or more sweeping delivery who likes to play shots around the greens with the face in a variety of orientations or positions,” Vokey says.

Indeed, Brooks Koepka used a 60-degree M grind for numerous clutch shots in winning the 2018 US Open at Shinnecock Hills.

The limited-edition wedges utilise Vokey’s progressive centre of gravity where the CG is pushed forward of the face for consistency and a softer, more solid feel. The company’s hallmark Spin Milled grooves remain as well. WedgeWorks customisation options include 10-character straight/freestyle stamping with 15 characters around the toe or two lines of 10 characters each. Six toe engravings are available as well. The wedges can also be custom ordered with a selection of shaft bands, ferrules, shafts and grips as well as flight lines that are etched on the hosel to promote proper hand positioning for certain shots.

The wedges come stock with True Temper Dynamic Gold S200 shafts and Golf Pride 360 grips. Available in right-hand and raw finish only.
