For as long as anyone can remember golf has been predicated on two things: Solid contact and unbroken silence. Unfortunately, Keita Nakajima got neither on Thursday at the Open De France when a cough during his backswing led to one biggest – and most bizarre – whiffs you’ll ever see in professional golf.
To completely whiff on a golf swing is an embarrassment to anybody at any level. To have it happen in a professional tour event – well, we had never seen it, until now.
