After a couple of days of actually being tested in the Presidents Cup, it was all fun and games for Team USA on Sunday. The Americans won the singles session 7.5 to 4.5 to extend the lead on their way to a 10th consecutive win in the biennial event. And everyone was having fun, from the players to the captains to… Fluff.

But no one had a better day than Max Homa. The six-time PGA Tour winner’s spot on the team had been questioned by many, but after losing his first two matches, he capped the week with a 2&1 win over Mackenzie Hughes. Plus he holed out for eagle, which won him a bet against Kevin Kisner and forced the assistant captain to take off his shirt afterwards. Good times.
Not surprisingly, Homa, like the rest of his teammates, enjoyed some celebratory beverages after the victory. But one video/screenshot of him went viral because he could be seen chugging a Budweiser heavy behind captain Jim Furyk as PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan made some remarks during the closing ceremony. Have a look:

It’s fun to win, huh? Of course, Homa, Golf Twitter’s reigning king, had the perfect explanation for the moment afterwards:
Last guy on the course today. Had to make up for lost time https://t.co/l5o5Dshlfs

Fair point, Max. It’s tough being in the anchor match.
In any event, hopefully Max’s Monday morning isn’t too rough. And hopefully he tells us about it either way.
