A Jason Day fan woke up on Monday morning with sore shoulders, but a big smile.
Meet, well, we don’t know his name. But we know he’s a huge fan of the Queenslander. And that he’s in pretty good shape, especially after attending the Bank of Utah Championship.

The fan decided he’d do a “fitness challenge” and honour his favourite player by doing 20 push-ups for every shot the 13-time PGA Tour winner hit at Black Desert Resort. Yep, every single shot.
That wound up equating to 1,440 push-ups on Friday and another 1,360 push-ups on Saturday ahead of the final round. If he continued at this pace on Sunday, Day let him off easy by shooting 65, so that would have been ‘only’ 1,300 push-ups for a total of 4,080 push-ups over three days.
So he got a good workout in while watching Day (T-20) play some good golf. Even better? Day saw him doing push-ups outside the ropes (it would be hard not to notice that), talked to him after the third round and gave him his hat. Here’s the guy’s interview with the PGA Tour:

Wild stuff, but worth it. To him, at least.
“He saw me the whole time, him and his caddie laughed multiple times,” the unidentified man told the PGA Tour. “After the round, he gave me his hat and I talked to him for, like, five minutes. He asked me why on Earth I would do this. He told me it was the craziest, coolest, weirdest thing a fan’s ever done for him in his entire career.”
Yeah… that would be tough to top… Anyway, good for that guy. Not everyone can pull off the visor look. And if there’s a biggest Jason Day Fan Award for 2025, he just wrapped it up.
