Dynapower

Why we like it
Some drivers emphasise forgiveness to help your worst hits. Others pursue low spin to maximise distance on your best hits. That’s why Wilson has two approaches here, even though visually these two drivers are nearly identical: the more forgiving Titanium model and the composite-laden Carbon. To make these designs work their best, Wilson’s team developed a multi-level thickness pattern for the face using artificial intelligence. The thickness patterns on the face insert are optimised from the centre all the way to the outer edges to get the best out of perfect and imperfect hits.

Dynapower Titanium

  • The more forgiving of the two models uses a 16-gram rear weight for extra stability.
  • Expect a higher flight and a built-in slight draw bias to minimise a slice.
  • Designed for most average golfers with swing speeds of less than 100 miles per hour.
  • 9, 10.5, 13 degrees (with a six-way adjustable hosel).

Dynapower Carbon

  • Lightweight carbon composite in the crown and sole reduces spin.
  • Has a more neutral to fade ball flight with a lower trajectory than the Titanium.
  • Designed for players who prefer to work the ball on tee shots.
  • 8, 9, 10.5, 12 degrees (with a six-way adjustable hosel).

Reviewer profile

“Easy to swing. I don’t feel the need to manipulate anything. One of the most consistent in ball flight.’”
