After a week off the LPGA is back in action this week at the Kroger Queen City Championship at TPC River’s Bend, 25 miles north of downtown Cincinnati. Lydia Ko is the defending champion after capturing her third title of the year with a five-shot victory.
The field this year is playing for a $2 million purse with the winner taking home $300,000 for a victory.
Ko is back to attempt a repeat in a field that includes 20 of the top 25 ranked players in the world and 21 of the 24 different winners this year. World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul is playing, looking to extend her lead in the rankings over Nelly Korda, who is also in the field. Korda tied for fifth place here last year.
Four major champions—Grace Kim, Mao Saigo, Maja Stark and Miyu Yamashita—are in the field as are 21 rookies. Two-time U.S. Solheim Cup participant Alison Lee will play for the first time since October 2024. She took time off and gave birth to her son, Levi, in April.
Reminder, there still has not been on repeat winner this year on the LPGA, a record in the history of the tour.
