Patrick Cantlay had a solid week on the greens at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, posting a highly respectable .602 strokes gained/putting mark for the week and an impressive 2.849 strokes gained in the final round.

It was a stroke that didn’t register in the stats, however, that led to his victory in Las Vegas – a lengthy putt from well behind the green on the 18th hole at TPC Summerlin, the second time the hole was played in a three-way playoff – that proved the difference-maker. Cantlay rolled the ball over the fringe, onto the green and watched as it nearly went it the hole, settling within tap-in range for a par. That was enough to defeat Alex Cejka and Whee Kim, who made bogey and double-bogey, respectively.

Cantlay’s putter is a Scotty Cameron by Titleist GSS, a blade-style putter made from German stainless steel – a metal known for its excellence and quality. Much like Cantlay’s work on the greens at the Shriners.
