A year ago, the Arnold Palmer Invitational was ultimately decided by a Russell Henley eagle on Bay Hill’s par-5 16th. And with the entire top 10 in the World Ranking set to tee off this week in Orlando for the signature event honoring one of golf’s all-time greats, it’s likely going to be another down-to-the-wire finish.
Henley won in 2025 while shooting an 11-under 277, just edging Collin Morikawa. He’ll be looking for become the first repeat winner of the event since Matt Every in 2014-15. But Henley will have to keep up with Scottie Scheffler, who has won the API twice in the last four years, as well as Justin Thomas, who is making his season debut after undergoing back surgery in November. Sungjae Im is also set to play on tour for the first time this season after a wrist injury.

The club oozes history, hence the high numbers for character. The clubhouse is a shrine to Arnie. His touches are everywhere. There are many tough, long par 4s. The par 3’s are difficult, with three of them playing well over 200 yards.
