Welcome back to The Feed, where summer is here and even writing about silly YouTube videos on a Friday feels like carrying the Earth on your shoulders (shoutout, Atlas). In that spirit, I sincerely hope you’re all out playing instead of sitting here reading this, but for those of you stuck at your desks, laid up with a bum wrist or, worst of all, heading to a wedding, here’s your weekly golf fix.
Long Live the King
Will there ever come a day when John Daly’s schtick gets tiresome? We’ve come close on a few occasions, and most golf fans can agree that we never need to hear him sing “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” or hawk another canned cocktail ever again, but here’s the thing:
On YouTube, Daly, in the year of our lord 2026, is somehow a breath of fresh air.
This week, JD joined Fore Play’s Kevin Kisner, as well as country music songwriters Tyler Reeve and Cole Taylor, who run the YouTube channel Playing Through, for a casual nine holes (and change) at his stomping grounds, Old Hickory Country Club. What follows is one of the funniest, drunkest, most NSFW YouTube golf videos we’ve ever seen. Needless to say, if you haven’t watched it already, it’s the perfect way to start your weekend.

As far as Daly’s M.O. goes, there’s not much new here. He plays barefoot in a pair of zany shorts while slamming his own Good Boy cocktails that he keeps in the hood cooler of his custom Razorbacks golf cart which he drives everywhere BUT the cart path. He curses, he makes filthy jokes, he gives himself seven-foot gimmes. In other words, he’s exactly what we don’t see on YouTube.
For all of YouTube golf’s many positive attributes, it is squeaky clean. So clean, in fact, that it fails to represent the golf most of us are actually playing with our friends. The sort of golf where maybe you have a beer or three more than you meant to and the hosel rockets start flying faster than the trash talk. With all due respect to Grant Horvat, Brad Dalke and George Bryan, many of us—heck, most of us—are simply not that pure of soul, and JD’s extremely R-rated performance this week is a much-needed reminder of that.
YouTube golf has also become capital-S Serious of late. Suddenly, all the burnt out mini-tour pros who found a new lease on life on the platform are trying to be pros again. Good Good Golf launched its dedicated Good Good Pros channel, where Brad Dalke, who is set to play in two PGA Tour events later this year, and Sean Walsh compete against some of the biggest names in golf. Grant Horvat and the Bryan Brothers announced Your Golf Tour with a roster based not on personality, but skill. This week’s video from The Lads finds a PGA Tour camera crew tagging along, filming Ryan Ruffels for a mini documentary about his preparation for the Myrtle Beach Classic, which he qualified for by winning The Q, a made-for-YouTube series boasting a PGA Tour exemption as a grand prize.
Daly’s DGAF attitude—one-handed chipping with $100,000 on the line (for charity) while bickering about who owes him $300 from “Atlantic City”—feels like the antidote to all of that. It’s nothing we haven’t seen before from Daly, but it’s something we haven’t seen on YouTube in a while, and here’s hoping we get to enjoy a few more of these masterclasses from the big man before he hangs up the sticks for good.

Quick Hits
Grant Horvat
This week, Grant Horvat puts Min Woo Lee to the test, seeing if he can beat the Aussie bomber if he starts at five-under par. Will Horvat finally do it? Will there be too many, ahem, chefs in the kitchen? Tune in and find out.
The Lads
Break 50, everybody’s doing it now. We have Bryson DeChambeau to thank for that, but this week it’s The Lads’ turn, who try to the accomplish the feat at We-Ko-Pa in the desert. Go low, boys … or should we say “lads”?
Good Good Pros
Speaking of going low, Brad Dalke and Sean Walsh take on Westwood Golf Course in Oklahoma, AKA the easiest course in the Sooner State. This is like taking lunch money from the math club captain.
Sean Walsh / Peter Finch
Walsh was a busy boy this week, wrapping up his “King of Kiawah” match series with Peter Finch at Kiawah Island. If you checked the first episode last week, make sure to tune in for penultimate and ultimate showdowns here and here.
TaylorMade Golf
If you’re into focused practice, self-improvement and all that crap, don’t miss TaylorMade’s latest video, in which Grant Horvat gets a short-game lesson from two-time major winner Collin Morikawa. We’ll see if that crash course helps Horvat when he tees it up on YGT later this year.
Internet Invitational
Finally, the Internet Invitational announced a huge prize money increase for its 2026 edition and began sending out invites this week. The follow up to last year’s viral sensation reportedly begins filming in August, so set your alarms. Yes, Luke Kwon, we’re looking at you.
