YOU’RE FIRED! The catchphrase made famous in Donald Trump’s TV series The Apprentice has come back to haunt the billionaire, with the PGA of America the first major golf body to pull a professional event from a Trump golf course following his racist remarks against Mexicans.

Trump’s controversial comments came last month about Mexican immigrants during a speech announcing his candidacy for the Republican nomination for president. In response, the PGA has yanked the carpet on the Grand Slam of Golf — an exhibition contested between the winners of the four Major championships.

The Grand Slam of Golf was to be held in for October at Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles, California.

The PGA claimed the tournament would be moved to a course yet to be determined.

“The parties mutually agreed that it is in the best interest of all not to conduct the 2015 PGA Grand Slam of Golf at Trump National, Los Angeles,” the PGA said in a statement.

Trump received international backlash over his racist speech, in which he said: “They’re (Mexicans) bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists … And some, I assume, are good people.”

In response to the PGA of America removing the Grand Slam of Golf from his LA course, Trump told the New York Times: “I’ve been very loyal to golf – I own 17 clubs. They all do great. We will see whether or not golf is loyal to me.”
