Robotic lawn mowing giant Husqvarna is taking its commitment to Australian women’s golf to the next level, signing on as an official partner of Australia’s top women’s golf majors.

The announcement comes ahead of the 2026 Women’s Australian Open at Kooyonga Golf Club (March 12-15) and the 2026 Australian WPGA Championship at Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club (March 19-22).

The back-to-back tournaments will feature some of the world’s best, including major championship winner Minjee Lee and Australian star Grace Kim, who is also a Husqvarna brand ambassador.

The Aussie Open will mark a historic first for Australian major championships: Kooyonga will use Husqvarna robotic mowers to assist with tournament preparation. Working alongside the club’s greenkeeping team, the mowers will help deliver consistent, world-class playing surfaces while enabling staff to focus on precision championship preparation.

Globally, Husqvarna robotic mowers are already trusted by more than 1,700 golf courses, combining technology with sustainable, high-quality turf management. And Husqvarna won’t just be behind the ropes in Australia – fans at both events can expect interactive on-site activations, including live demonstrations of the robotic mowers in action.

Michael McDonald, chief commercial officer at Golf Australia and PGA of Australia, said the partnership reflected Husqvarna’s global commitment to professional golf.

“Husqvarna’s partnership with the women’s Australian Open and the Australian WPGA Championship is a strong endorsement of women’s golf in Australia and the continued growth of our major tournaments,” McDonald said. “This partnership will also showcase how innovation can enhance the future of golf.”

Pauline Nilsson, Husqvarna vice president sales and services (Pacific Region) and managing director Australia, added: “After our announcement as title partner of the Husqvarna British Masters, we’re thrilled to extend our commitment to Australian golf. Robotic mowing is growing across Australian homes and commercial turf, and bringing it to elite women’s golf as an Australian first feels like a perfect fit.”
