Overnight, Tiger Woods spoke at Congressional CC to promote his upcoming Quicken Loans National event.
Following an update on his recovery from surgery –mainly, that he still is without a timetable for return – Woods wrapped things up by attempting a ceremonial shot at Congressional’s 10th hole, a par-3.
This is the first ball in the water:

The second and third wet shots can be watched here, if you can stomach watching Tiger miss it so poorly. However, a staff member at Congressional has told Australian Golf Digest the scenario was setup so a veteran could win a nearest to the pin competition on the par 3.
“I was there … tigers (sic) 3 shots in the water was a setup to give the veteran a chance at winning NTP (nearest the pin),” the staffer said. “The veteran was on the green. Before Tiger hit he had said he is happy with his progress but not knowing when he’s coming back frustrates him. His swing was way to (sic) slow for a 90-metre shot.”
