It’s fair to say putting has been Rickie Fowler’s big letdown in 2018.
A quick perusal through the US PGA Tour putting stats reveals as much, with Fowler languishing down at 146th on tour in Total Putting, and 104th in Strokes Gained (Putting).
And this effort this morning at the Wells Fargo Championship certainly won’t help those numbers for the man many believe is the next player to leave the dreaded “Best player not to have won a Major” group.
Fowler was lining up a very makeable birdie putt at the 17th when the unthinkable happened:
