Jason Day wasn’t ever really in the mix during the final round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, but he was a contender for the minor placings behind surprise winner Ted Potter Jnr. The Queenslander also made an early play for one of the lesser-known awards of the season: Par of the Year.

Day was tied for second place standing on the 18th tee at Pebble Beach then boomed his tee shot into the ‘go zone’ at the par-5. After that things got a little bizarre. Watch how Day’s crazy 72nd hole unfolded here:
