Odyssey today announced the Australian and New Zealand introduction of Toulon Design putters, a premium line of performance-driven products, bringing together the best in look, sound, feel and technology.

Already featuring in the bags of Callaway staff professionals including Thomas Pieters, Pablo Larrazabal and Michelle Wie, Toulon Design putters will be available in a select number of Callaway authorised retailers across the Australian and New Zealand region from October 13.

The line includes six models – four blades (Madison, Austin (above), Long Island and San Diego) and two face-balanced mallets (Memphis (below) and Indianapolis, top) – representing what the company calls a union of the finest materials, extraordinary craftsmanship, elegant visual appeal and cutting-edge technology.

“Building a better-performing putter takes imagination, intelligence, focus, precision and experience. In our quest to manufacture the best, we focused on creating harmony between sound, feel and roll, ensuring they’re all in sync to maximise performance,” said Sean Toulon, the senior vice president/general manager of putters at Callaway Golf.

One of the key visible features of each Toulon Design is the new Deep Diamond Mill face pattern, precision-milled into the hitting surface of each soft 303 stainless steel head. This new, innovative pattern effectively channels impact vibration away from your ears to produce a slightly softer, yet still crisp, solid sound with incredible feel.

“The centre of the putter is where the engine of performance resides and our Deep Diamond Mill pattern is the result of lengthy and strenuous prototyping and testing with 25 different milling patterns,” Toulon says.

One of the most visually striking designs in the 2017 Collection – Indianapolis (pictured, top) – is a super-high moment of inertia mallet inspired by the sleek beauty and envelope-pushing performance of Indy cars past and present. It combines a uniquely beautiful and highly functional shape with Deep Diamond Mill technology to promote great feel, smooth, accurate roll and keen distance-control across a large part of the face.

Stock grip options on Toulon Design putters will be the SuperStroke Pistol GT Tour. All putters are available in 35-inch shaft lengths. The Memphis and Indianapolis models are also offered in a left-handed option (RRP: $649.99).
