2 Kingston Heath Golf Club — No.2 overall
Location: Kingston Rd, Heatherton, Victoria
Australian golf’s perennial bridesmaid resumes a position it knows well. Renowned for its Conditioning, Kingston Heath’s timeless design, strategic nous and meticulous management make it something akin to a golf cathedral.
3 Peninsula Kingswood Golf Club (North) — No.5 overall
Location: Skye Rd, Frankston, Victoria
With a worst result of 8.78 out of 10 across every judging criterion, it’s little surprise the North course sits inside the top five. Renowned for its Conditioning, the layout’s mix of strategy and visual intrigue continues to draw admiration from golfers and panellists alike.
4 Victoria Golf Club — No.7 overall
Location: Park Rd, Cheltenham, Victoria
Bolstered by improved Conditioning scores, where it moved from sixth nationally to third, Victoria makes an eye-catching three-spot climb up the rankings. The Sandbelt gem has never ranked outside the sixth-to-12th bracket in the ranking’s history.
5 Royal Melbourne Golf Club (East) — No.9 overall
A minor demotion in purely numerical terms, as Royal Melbourne East’s average score from panellists almost mirrored the previous cycle’s mark. Renowned for its Shot Options, the East course remains an essential complement to its more famous sibling.

Location: Cape Schanck, Victoria

7 Metropolitan Golf Club — No.13 overall

New-look 12th, 13th and 16th holes gave this Sandbelt favourite a fresh appearance this cycle, as its two-stage course-enhancement project reached completion in March 2025. Conditioning narrowly edged Shot Options as its superior criterion, by just 0.01.

The private and secluded rural layout keeps its high-tide mark on the list. Greg Norman was given design freedom to create a course that doesn’t sit still for the full 18 holes, renowned for its Aesthetics.

The South course continues to forge a reputation of its own, refusing to live in the shadow of its more vaunted sister layout. Renowned for its Conditioning, with only three courses nationally scoring higher in that category.
