Tony Finau endured a bumpy PGA Tour offseason. Increased scrutiny on a long-running lawsuit filed against Finau and his father, knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus and largely unsubstantiated rumours of a move to LIV Golf marred the six-time tour winner’s offseason, but finally there’s some good news.
Overnight, the family’s Finau Fresh Instagram account announced the arrival of Tony and Layla Finau’s sixth child, born last Saturday, January 25. Say hello, world.

The couple’s third daughter evens the Finau family scales, with three boys and three girls now all part of the team. But that was a mystery to their older children, who were treated to a surprise gender reveal of their new sibling last weekend. Needless to say, it came as quite surprise when the pink onesie was revealed.

Finau missed the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open last Friday, finishing five-over for 36 holes at Torrey Pines. It was a tough start to Finau’s 2025 campaign, but proved to be a blessing in disguise, allowing Finau to spend a very special weekend with his family. With that many mouths to feed, however, Finau will hope those MCs don’t become a habit.
