Bubba Watson is known for his booming tee shots and curving approaches, but on the 72nd hole of the Travelers Championship it was a deft touch with his lob wedge that proved the difference.
Reed has five different companies in his bag: Ping (driver), Nike (3-wood), Titleist (3-iron, wedge), Callaway/Odyssey (irons, putter) and Artisan (wedges).
After finishing the 2016-’17 season ranked 20th in driving distance at 305.8 yards – nearly five yards shorter than the previous year – Watson changed his ball and driver, switching to a Titleist Pro V1x ball and Ping’s G400 LST driver.
As with, well, almost everything these days, the ability to customise a product to meet the needs of the consumer is critical. With its new line of Vault 2.0 putters, Ping sought to address that need.
