Less than 24 hours after Brooks Koepka lorded his four Major titles over the rest of the leaderboard at the 2020 PGA Championship – in particular, over Dustin Johnson – a fellow four-time Major champ, Rory McIlroy, came to DJ’s defence.
As if the leaderboard through 36 holes wasn’t good enough, Dustin Johnson decided he wanted to take control of the tournament, setting up what could be DJ vs Brooks Koepka duel.
Out of nowhere, Haotong Li became the first Chinese man to lead at the end of a round in a men’s Major championship, while Jason Day shares second place.
Scott will end his long break at this week’s PGA Championship at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, where he will tee it up for the first time in a tournament since the opening round of the Players Championship.
