In his opening remarks during the overnight US Congressional hearing on the planned partnership between the tour and PIF, Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Connecticut) said there had been a side-agreement among members of the PGA Tour and PIF negotiations that Norman would be pushed out in involvement with the new alliance.

Congressional hearings on PGA Tour–Saudi deal could happen ‘within weeks’

United States Senator Richard Blumenthal (District of Connecticut) said on Sunday that Congressional hearings regarding the proposed partnership between the PGA Tour and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund could happen “within weeks.”

Hearing date set for Matt Jones, Talor Gooch and Hudson Swafford seeking right to play PGA Tour’s playoffs 

A hearing is set for August 9 at 4pm local time in California for Australia’s Matt Jones, Talor Gooch and Hudson Swafford, who are all seeking a temporary restraining order to play next week’s FedEx Cup Playoff event in Memphis, which begins two days later.
