The DP World Tour announced that 16 of the 17 players who defected to LIV Golf have paid their fines in the court-appointed window after the tour’s legal win over LIV Golf… and the tour wasn’t shy about letting the sport know who failed to meet the deadline.
A DP World Tour spokesperson confirmed to Golf Digest overnight that Garcia was fined for failing to provide a medical explanation for his BMW PGA withdrawal as required by the tour’s General Regulations Handbook.
Upon finishing, Daly and Calcavecchia were informed by a rules official they were being cited for conduct unbecoming a professional and subject to a fine. Needless to say, they were not too pleased about that.
