Councils and other landlords are targeting golf courses in Sydney and Melbourne for alternative community use. With an ever-growing demand for sporting facilities and recreational areas, Australian golf faces a huge battle to retain all of its existing courses. It signals the war on golf has begun.

Kogarah GC eyeing multi-purpose relocation

Sydney’s Kogarah Golf Club is investigating a potential relocation so up to 5,000 new homes and a new FIFA-approved stadium can be built on its present site under a $100 million proposal.
