As the warmer weather approaches in our neck of the woods, on the other side of the world, things are starting to get a little frosty.
In fact, one of the earth’s top golf courses currently lies beneath of blanket of snow. In sharp contrast to violent weather brewing swirling over the Pacific, however, it looks just as beautiful and serene as ever.

Yep, that’s Scotland’s famed Royal Dornoch Golf Club – home to the no.2 course on US Golf Digest’s list of the World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses – looking decked out for the season. It’s a surreal scene captured by photographer Matthew Harris, partly because of the shining sun and sandy beaches, but also because it barely resembles the iconic links course we know and love.

Unfortunately for golfers of the Northern Hemisphere, Royal Dornoch wasn’t the first course to be covered in the ol’ white stuff this season and it certainly won’t be the last. There’s a longgggg way to go before spring, but when winter looks this beautiful, it’s almost hard to complain.
