US PGA Tour star Rickie Fowler is renowned for his engagement with fans and superior social media skills, and one fan was left red-faced after accusing the crowd favourite of blowing off the gallery at the Deutsche Bank Championship .

The 27-year-old was ‘called out’ on Twitter for ‘refusing’ to sign autographs, only for the Californian to put user ‘Solzisswag’ in his place with evidence Fowler gave the TPC Boston gallery more than a fair signing session.

“Might want to check that…signed for 20 minutes after the round,” Fowler tweeted.

This was despite a regrettable share of 46th with his 3-under par total at the second FedEx Cup playoffs event, won by world No.3 Rory McIlroy.

Fans of the Cobra Puma ambassador jumped to his defence, showing their signed memorabilia as evidence Fowler got the Sharpie out and gave the fans what they wanted.

Don’t mess with Rickie.
