The point of Topgolf is to simulate what it’s like to play a round of golf, and it sounds like this Rhode Island venue has accidentally figured it out. The patented viral golf fight has become a staple of the sport as of late, which makes this Topgolf experience as real as it can get.

On Friday night, a skirmish broke out at the Topgolf in Cranston, Rhode Island, ultimately leading to an arrest. According to WPRI, two men threw mugs at each other eventually breaking a large plate-glass window. One individual, 28-year-old Donovan Guzman Gonzalez from East Providence, was arrested on charges of vandalism and disorderly conduct. The other suspect is still unknown with the incident under investigation.

All The Rage

This Topgolf location opened in early October, so this was a quick turnaround from grand opening to chaos. Hopefully, this is a one-time occurrence and Topgolfers throughout Rhode Island can stop by the new venue without fear of needing to duck from flying mugs.
