Looking back on the 2016 Major championship season, there were plenty of highlights and drama.
We had four first-time Major winners, a Masters collapse from Jordan Spieth, a USGA rules drama with Dustin Johnson and Jason Day’s worthy title defence.
But nothing comes close to the exhibition of golf Henrik Stenson and Phil Mickelson put on at the 145th Open Championship at Royal Troon. Many are calling it the greatest duel in Major championship history, and the Swede’s 63 the greatest ever round in tournament golf.
