THE Australians fought bravely, but it wasn’t enough to rescue the Internationals from the Americans, who charged to a 15.4-14.5Â Presidents Cup victory.
Adam Scott laid the foundation, thrashing Rickie Fowler 6&5 to give the Internationals early confidence after the overnight one-match deficit.
Steve Bowditch then won his  first singles match in the Presidents Cup – 2-up against Jimmy Walker – but US PGA Champion Jason Day couldn’t finish off an incredibly brave fightback from 5-down, succumbing 3&2 to Zach Johnson.
