The last foreign-born player to win the PGA Championship was Australia’s Jason Day in 2015. So after decade of American dominance, will the trend continue? Or might one of the world’s best break-through at Aronimink Golf Club, where South Africa’s Gary Player lift the Wanamaker Trophy the last time it hosted a major championship in 1962?

We ask the questions to offer up yet another: Is there something about the PGA’s setup that favors American-born players? Perhaps we’ll see as seven of the top 15 players in our PGA Championship Power Rankings are from outside of the United States.

An obvious choice to end the Americans run is Rory McIlroy, whose Augusta National triumph puts him in a position to accomplish this first: No player has ever won the Masters and the PGA Championship back-to-back. (Granted, these two majors have only been played in succession for seven years.)

Historically, three players have won the Masters and the PGA Championship in the same year: Sam Snead (1949), Jack Burke Jr. (1956), and Jack Nicklaus, who, of course, did it twice (1963, 1975). Can McIlroy be the fourth? He was the fourth to repeat at Augusta National!

Moreover, could a calendar Grand Slam conversation be in the Northern Irishman’s future? Should McIlroy go back-to-back in 2026, that sure would be some Philly special.

Given all these questions, let’s provide some answers … in the form of our major championship Power Rankings. This deep dive into every player in the field at Aronimink can be used by causals to become familiar with who’s a pretender and who’s a contender outside Philly, and by serious fans looking to find some extra value in an unlikely bet.

To assist with your understanding of our rankings, here is a quick breakdown of the “key” information.

Key

• Age: Six of the last 10 PGA Championship winners were in their 20s.• Odds to win: These are the “futures odds” listed for each player at DraftKings before Monday of tournament week.• Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) value: The posted price for each competitor on DraftKings.• Data Golf (OWGR): How do the “official” rankings compare to the Power Rankings?• Best finish at Aronimink: Who has experience at AGC, and how did they fare at either the 2010/2011 AT&T National or the 2018 BMW Championship? (Listed only for player competing in one of the three.)• PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: Fun fact—only two players in the top 50 of the Power Rankings have never missed a cut at the PGA Championship.• PGA Championship 2025: How did a player finish a year ago at Quail Hollow?• Best PGA finish: The field features 15 PGA champions. Will we see a repeat Wannamaker winner? Five of those previous PGA winners are ranked in the top 15 of these Power Rankings.• Notes: A quick summary for each player to pique or deter your interest in their chances to win or contend in the 108th PGA Championship.

Nos. 126-156

Six past PGA champions and 16 qualifiers from the PGA Professional Championship populate this grouping. Of those Wannamaker winners, only Jason Dufner, Shaun Micheel, Jimmy Walker and Y.E. Yang have competed at Aronimink. Walker has the best finish with a T-46 at the 2010 AT&T. Michael Block is making his eighth PGA Championship start. Block famously finished T-15 in 2023 at Oak Hill, but that stands as the only time he’s made the weekend in this championship.

Derek Berg (PGA), Francisco Bide (PGA), Chandler Blanchet, Michael Block (PGA), Brian Campbell, Jason Dufner, Bryce Fisher (PGA), Chris Gabriele (PGA), Mark Geddes (PGA), Jordan Gumberg, Padraig Harrington, Zach Haynes (PGA), Kazuki Higa, Joe Highsmith, Austin Hurt (PGA), Jared Jones (PGA), Michael Katrude (PGA), Martin Kaymer, Ben Kern (PGA), Ryan Lenahan (PGA), Mikael Lindberg, Paul McClure (PGA), Shaun Micheel, Davis Riley, Garrett Sapp (PGA), Adam Schenk, Travis Smyth, Ryan Vermeer (PGA), Jimmy Walker, Timothy Wiseman (PGA), Y.E. Braden Shattuck the last PGA Professional to make the cut at the PGA (2024). Jesse Droemer, the 2026 PGA Professional Championship winner, sits in this group. So does European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald, who opened last year’s PGA with a 67 and played the weekend, ultimately finishing in a tie for 60th place!

Nos. 71-100

The PGA of America likes to talk about how the PGA Championship is one of the deepest fields in all of golf. And, they’re right: consider that we’ve got 13 PGA Tour winners who we’re saying won’t make the 36 holes according to our Power Rankings. There are also DP World Tour and Korn Ferry Tour winners in this grouping. It can be difficult to keep some of the names outside the top 70 and ties, but recent form and course fit cause these guys to just miss the weekend.

71. Jordan Smith, 72. Chris Kirk, 73. Billy Horschel, 74. Wyndham Clark, 75. Aldrich Potgieter, 76. Marco Penge, 77. Christiaan Bezuidenhout, 78. Andrew Novak, 79. Ryo Hisatsune, 80. Fowler had a chance to win the Truist Championship on Sunday. His recent form and T-8 the 2018 BMW Championship will catch some attention at Aronimink this week.

29: Viktor Hovland

Age: 28 Odds to win: +5300 DFS Value: $9,600 Data Golf (OWGR): 20 (26) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 6/6 PGA Championship 2025: T-28 Best PGA finish: 3 (2024)

One of two players ranked in the field with six starts or more who has not missed a cut in the PGA Championship. A career record worth mentioning, as even Scottie Scheffler missed the weekend in 2022.

28: Shane Lowry 2264262341

Raj Mehta

Age: 39 Odds to win: +8800 DFS Value: $8,500 Data Golf (OWGR): 28 (35) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 14/10 PGA Championship 2025: MC Best PGA finish: T-4 (2021)

Irish weather and a traditional layout scream for Lowry to make a run at Aronimink. The question is, will we get the player who put himself in position to win the Masters last month through 54-holes, or the one who shot 80 on Sunday?

27: Akshay Bhatia

Age: 24 Odds to win: +9200 DFS Value: $7,600 Data Golf (OWGR): 21 (24) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 2/0 PGA Championship 2025: MC Best PGA finish: MC (2024, 2025)

The best American player younger than 25 on the PGA Tour, it is time for Bhatia to get in the mix on a Sunday of a major championship. A strong run at the Truist and an API win tell us he is ready, but does Bhatia believe?

26: J.J. Spaun

Age: 35 Odds to win: +10000 DFS Value: $7,700 Data Golf (OWGR): 24 (9) Best finish at Aronimink: T-45 (2018) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 5/3PGA Championship 2025: T-37 Best PGA finish: T-35 (2018)

The last time Spaun played a major championship in Pennsylvania, he won. If he can get the putter going again like at Oakmont, his 2026 ball-striking will have him contending. J.J. is ninth on the PGA Tour in SG/approach this year.

25: Jordan Spieth

Age: 32 Odds to win: +6000 DFS Value: $8,600 Data Golf (OWGR): 31 (50) Best finish at Aronimink: T-55 (2018) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 13/10 PGA Championship 2025: MC Best PGA finish: 2 (2015)

Pundits are throwing around career Grand Slams like more than six players have ever achieved that honor. The fact is, now that Speith’s putter is waking up, his ball-striking is missing. Can Spieth put it all together at once? Three wins in nine years tells us otherwise.

24: Tyrrell Hatton

Age: 34 Odds to win: +5400 DFS Value: $9,100 Data Golf (OWGR): 42 (25) Best finish at Aronimink: T-29 (2018) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 11/9 PGA Championship 2025: T-60 Best PGA finish: T-10 (2016, 2018)

Third at the Masters, fifth at LIV Mexico City and 17th at LIV Virginia on Sunday, Hatton is playing very solid golf. The same skill set that helped him at Augusta National last month will serve him well at Aronimink. Hatton has a terrific long-iron game, and if anyone can tame these par 3s, as he can, they will contend.

23: Patrick Cantlay 2270001188

Augusta National

Age: 34 Odds to win: +5400 DFS Value: $8,900 Data Golf (OWGR): 13 (33) Best finish at Aronimink: T-20 (2011) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 9/7 PGA Championship 2025: MC Best PGA finish: T-3 (2019)

Cantlay is quietly coming off four straight top-12 finishes. The putter needs to pop, but he can score on bentgrass. The last two times Cantlay played in the Mid-Atlantic area, he finished fourth at the Truist (2025 at Philadelphia Cricket Club) and won the BMW Championship (2022 at Caves Valley).

22: Harris English

Age: 36 Odds to win: +10500 DFS Value: $7,200 Data Golf (OWGR): 27 (22) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 9/7 PGA Championship 2025: T-2 Best PGA finish: T-2 (2025)

English finished runner-up at last year’s PGA (and the Open Championship!). If Aronimink turns into a putting contest, he has a chance. Harris also can hang with anyone off the tee, but on approach, we are going to need to see a spike, that same lift with the iron play we witnessed in his two major championship runner-up results in 2025.

21: Adam Scott 2275015545

Andrew Redington

Age: 45 Odds to win: +6300 DFS Value: $7,500 Data Golf (OWGR): 17 (43) Best finish at Aronimink: T-3 (2011) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 25/19 PGA Championship 2025: T-19 Best PGA finish: 3 (2006, 2018)

The 109th PGA Championship at Aronimink GC will be Adam Scott’s 99th consecutive major championship start! What might be even more impressive at 45 is Scott’s ball-striking. Approach play will play a huge role in everyone’s success this week, and Scott is ranked third on the PGA Tour in 2026 for iron play.

20: Si Woo Kim

Age: 30 Odds to win: +4600 DFS Value: $7,900 Data Golf (OWGR): 10 (20)Best finish at Aronimink: T-41 (2018) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 10/3 PGA Championship 2025: T-8 Best PGA finish: T-8 (2025)

Kim is ranked sixth on tour in strokes gained/total this season. His elite accuracy off the tee will give him an incredible advantage in ball-striking at Aronimink. But will the putter get hot just once? If it does, Kim will contend and finish much higher than he did at the BMW in 2018.

19: Robert MacIntyre

Age: 29 Odds to win: +5300 DFS Value: $8,400 Data Golf (OWGR): 11 (12) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 6/5 PGA Championship 2025: T47 Best PGA finish: T8 (2024)

MacIntyre finished runner-up in the 2025 U.S. Open, seventh at the 2025 Open Championship, and fourth at the Players two months ago. Yes, he’s showing up in golf’s biggest events, which made his missed cut at the Masters all the more surprising. Look closer, though, and MacIntyre’s approach game has been off, and with so much weight on iron play at Aronimink, it is a concern.

18: Hideki Matsuyama

Age: 34 Odds to win: +5600 DFS Value: $9,200 Data Golf (OWGR): 14 (16) Best finish at Aronimink: 15 (2018) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 13/12 PGA Championship 2025: MC Best PGA finish: T-4 (2016)

Matsuyama is one of the best players of this generation. He’s having an excellent approach season, and his wedge play around the green is world-class. Now that he’s also gained strokes with the putter and driver in several recent starts, don’t let an American bias let you look past a player this far down the odds board who can actually win.

17: Patrick Reed 2270591799

Andrew Redington

Age: 35 Odds to win: +7400 DFS Value: $9,000 Data Golf (OWGR): 37 (23) Best finish at Aronimink: T-19 (2018) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 12/9 PGA Championship 2025: MC Best PGA finish: T-2 (2017)

Reed is a perfect fit for the PGA at Aronimink. Should his excellent wedge play and putter have him ranked higher? It’s tough to discern his recent form as Reed has not played since the Masters. Why the long break, and will he be prepared? Two important questions keep Reed’s Power Ranking from being lower.

16: Sepp Straka

Age: 33 Odds to win: +8200 DFS Value: $8,000 Data Golf (OWGR): 29 (13) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 5/3 PGA Championship 2025: MC Best PGA finish: T-7 (2023)

Straka won the Truist Championship at the Philadelphia Cricket Club last year, a true comp course to Aronimink. He’s proven when a course values accuracy, he will contend. Keep an eye on this proximity maven.

15: Sam Burns

Age: 29 Odds to win: +5900 DFS Value: $8,100 Data Golf (OWGR): 15 (31)PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 5/3 PGA Championship 2025: T-19 Best PGA finish: T-19 (2025)

He was seventh at the Masters and 13th at the Players, plus he finished seventh at the U.S. Open last year in Pennsylvania. Approaching 30, is Burns beginning to figure out how to contend in majors? If so, a wedgefest in Philadelphia that requires a hot putter is a perfect fit for Burns’ scoring potential.

14: Justin Rose 2268205832

Adam Glanzman/TGL

Age: 45 Odds to win: +4300 DFS Value: $9,500 Data Golf (OWGR): 34 (5) Best finish at Aronimink: Won (2010) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 23/16 PGA Championship 2025: MC Best PGA finish: T-3 (2012)

A winner at Aronimink (2010 AT&T National) and at Merion (2013 U.S. Open). Suffice it to say, the city of Brotherly Love loves Rose. A recent equipment switch has everyone up in arms, but something tells me Rose knows what he is doing. Counting the 2024 PGA, he has had four top-six finishes in eight major starts. If the new clubs fit Rose as well in the region, you must keep him in mind.

13: Chris Gotterup

Age: 26 Odds to win: +6800 DFS Value: $8,800 Data Golf (OWGR): 26 (11) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 1/0 PGA Championship 2025: DNP Best PGA finish: MC (2024)

With his nearby New Jersey roots, Gotterup will have a ton of support as he plays in his second PGA. One of three players who have won multiple times on tour in 2026, Gotterup has gained strokes on the field in nine of 12 events in 2026.

12: Justin Thomas 2204026827

Mike Ehrmann

Age: 33 Odds to win: +6200 DFS Value: $9,400 Data Golf (OWGR): 51 (17) Best finish at Aronimink: T-12 (2018) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 10/8 PGA Championship 2025: MC Best PGA finish: Won (2017, 2022)

A T-13 in Charlotte at the Truist, and JT has his game in order heading into Aronimink. The two-time PGA champion even switched putters at Quail Hollow and finished 12th in SG/putting. A T1-2 in 2018 at Aronimink shows Thomas’ approach play and short game suit this venue. For a player who has proven he can win this event more than once, AGC is a really good fit coming at the right time.

11: Russell Henley

Age: 37 Odds to win: +4600 DFS Value: $8,700 Data Golf (OWGR): 8 (8) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 12/8PGA Championship 2025: MC Best PGA finish: T-12 (2015)

I’m saying it firmly: Henley will have his career-best finish in the PGA Championship this week. He has finished in the top-10 for three straight majors and five of the last seven. When you look at the skill set required win the PGA, Henley’s recent résumé really fits.

10: Ludvig Åberg 2265867150

Icon Sportswire

Age: 26 Odds to win: +2000 DFS Value: $9,800 Data Golf (OWGR): 7 (15) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 2/0 PGA Championship 2025: MC Best PGA finish: MC (2024, 2025)

Åberg hasn’t made the cut in his two previous PGA starts. The knee may have been an issue in 2024, but what happened at Quail Hollow in 2025? Åberg is on an incredible run as of late, finishing top-five four times in his last five starts! If he can lower his scoring average on Sundays, the sweet-swinging Swede has a chance to do something special in Philly.

9: Collin Morikawa

Age: 29 Odds to win: +3600 DFS Value: $9,900 Data Golf (OWGR): 12 (6) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 6/6 PGA Championship 2025: T-50 Best PGA finish: Won (2020)

Since his Signature win at Pebble Beach, Morikawa has been a bit of a mystery. Fine showings at the Masters and RBC Heritage, while still playing with a balky back—is not enough to remove doubt after Morikawa’s quick exit at the Players. A questionable start at Cadillac creates more confusion with the 2020 Wannamaker winner. Ordinarily, Morikawa is an incredible fit for this golf course, and his résumé has him inside the top 10 of the Power Rankings.

8: Bryson DeChambeau

Age: 32 Odds to win: +1650 DFS Value: $10,900 Data Golf (OWGR): 23 (29) Best finish at Aronimink: T-19 (2018) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 8/6 PGA Championship 2025: T-2 Best PGA finish: 2 (2024, 2025)

DeChambeau has finished runner-up in the last two PGA Championships. Can he contend again come Sunday? Hi ability to ignore distractions and perform under extreme scrutiny will be tested this week in Philadelphia. Inside the ropes, DeChambeau’s usually steady short game and putter have been unreliable lately. With the drama surrounding the LIV star and injury uncertainty, we have more questions than answers when it comes to golf’s most entertaining player.

7: Jon Rahm 2270430637

Augusta National

Age: 31 Odds to win: +1300 DFS Value: $10,400 Data Golf (OWGR): 2 (21) Best finish at Aronimink: T-24 (2018) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 9/7 PGA Championship 2025: T-8 Best PGA finish: T-4 (2018)

We all wondered what happened to Rahm at the Masters; entering the season’s first major, he was in career form. Since Augusta, he’s won in Mexico and finished eighth in Virginia. Considering the constant chip on Rahmbo’s shoulder, it will be interesting to see how he handles the media at Aronimink. With so many questions surrounding his start at the Masters and the future of LIV Golf, can one of the world’s best players tune-out the noise and perform?

6: Tommy Fleetwood

Age: 35 Odds to win: +3000 DFS Value: $9,700 Data Golf (OWGR): 9 (7) Best finish at Aronimink: T-8 (2018) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 11/8 PGA Championship 2025: T-41 Best PGA finish: T-5 (2022)

A couple of mediocre starts by Fleetwood’s standards left him fully engaged on the practice tee at Quail Hollow last week. He put the work in and finished fifth at Truist. Aronimink is a great fit for his game, and he knows it. The extra prep in Charlotte will serve him well as this is definitely one major championship venue where his accuracy won’t be mitigated by everyone else’s length. If you looking for elite value, take Tommy Lad!

5: Matt Fitzpatrick 2273105923

Stacy Revere

Age: 31 Odds to win: +1950 DFS Value: $10,000 Data Golf (OWGR): 5 (4) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 10/5 PGA Championship 2025: T-8 Best PGA finish: T-5 (2022)

The prospect of Fitzpatrick on a course that fits his game—classic, accuracy-driven design a la The Country Club—is tantalizing. More wedges than mid-irons on approach really suits the Englishman’s game. European conditions will only make him and his mates feel more at home. Since switching to coach Mark Blackburn last spring, Fitzpatrick has finished top eight in two of his last four major starts.

4: Xander Schauffele 2153741105

Maddie Meyer/PGA of America

Age: 32 Odds to win: +1850 DFS Value: $10,100 Data Golf (OWGR): 6 (10) Best finish at Aronimink: T-3 (2018) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 9/7 PGA Championship 2025: T-28 Best PGA finish: Won (2024)

Schauffele is a great fit for Aronimink; he finished one shot out of a playoff in 2018. Are we concerned with his two-over-par weekend at the Truist? No really. Schauffele is a top-five talent in the world and a PGA champion. He looked fine in the practice area pre-tournament and may have just been looking ahead to Aronimink. If you liked Schauffele before the Truist, then take the extra bump on the odds board from a bad week and go all in on X in Philadelphia.

3: Cameron Young 2275489229

Andrew Redington

Age: 28 Odds to win: +1600 DFS Value: $10,200 Data Golf (OWGR): 4 (3) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 4/3 PGA Championship 2025: T-47 Best PGA finish: T-3 (2022)

Oh baby, what’s not to love about Young this week at Aronimink? He has two world-class wins this year and four more top-seven finishes in his last seven starts. Now he comes to the style of course and agronomy he literally grew up on (Sleepy Hollow in New York, where his dad is the head professional_. No matter what you’re looking at—pick’em pools, One & Dones and outright predictions—Young is going to be one of the most popular players this week, and for good reason(s). Plus, this course is a great comp to Southern Hills (also renovated by Gil Hanse), and he had a T-3 finish there in first PGA.

2: Scottie Scheffler 2271487964

Kevin C. Cox

Age: 29 Odds to win: +340 DFS Value: $13,900 Data Golf (OWGR): 1 (1) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 6/5 PGA Championship 2025: Won Best PGA finish: Won (2025)

Scheffler is ranked 142nd in proximity to the hole on the tour. That’s kind of amazing since he has not finished outside the top 24 in 2026. Of course, being 12th in SG/putting, third in SG/off the tee and SG/around the green, Scottie is ranked first in SG/total. Should this be the week he rekindles his approach acumen, the defending champ will win by multiple shots.

1: Rory McIlroy 2271046670

Hector Vivas

Age: 37 Odds to win: +810 DFS Value: $12,400 Data Golf (OWGR): 3 (2) Best finish at Aronimink: 5 (2018) PGA Championship appearances/cuts made: 17/16 PGA Championship 2025: T-47 Best PGA finish: Won (2012, 2014)

McIlroy has played two events in two months on the PGA Tour. Did he have some rust in Charlotte? He sure did, but that’s what the Truist was for. McIlroy became only the fourth player in history to win back-to-back green jackets at the Masters in April. With four prior Quail Hollow wins, this week was just prep for a much bigger trophy in Philadelphia. On Sunday, Rory gained in all four primary strokes-gained categories. Focused on the biggest events, he is making every effort to get ready for a third PGA Championship title.
