LIV Golf Adelaide is on the move – heading across town to Kooyonga Golf Club in 2027.

The fan-favourite tournament, which has smashed attendance records since debuting in 2023, will swap The Grange for Kooyonga after the 2026 edition.

Kooyonga, currently ranked No.18 in Australian Golf Digest’s Top 100 Courses ranking, will take over hosting duties as part of South Australia’s exclusive deal to keep LIV Golf in Adelaide until at least 2031.

South Australia premier Peter Malinauskas said the switch marked the next phase of the event’s remarkable rise.

“LIV Golf Adelaide has been an economic success for our state – delivering more than $217 million in economic benefit in its first three years and helping to cement South Australia as a national and global destination for major events,” Malinauskas said.

“Securing Kooyonga Golf Club as the next host venue continues that momentum, bringing visitors, jobs and investment into our economy while showcasing Adelaide to viewers across Australia and around the world.”

Kooyonga’s classic sandbelt-style layout, just 15 minutes from Adelaide’s CBD, has a proud history of hosting major events – but none with the global spotlight LIV Golf now commands.

“LIV Golf is more than just a sporting event – it’s a platform to promote South Australia’s food, wine and lifestyle to a national and international audience, and to fill our hotels, restaurants and small businesses with visitors who return year after year,” Malinauskas added.

The premier also paid tribute to The Grange Golf Club, which has hosted the record-breaking event since day one.

“Importantly, we also have an incredible 2026 tournament to look forward to at The Grange Golf Club, which has been a fantastic venue for LIV Golf’s first few years, and tickets are selling fast.”

LIV Golf has committed to working closely with Kooyonga and state tourism officials on final course layouts and logistics, with more details to come.

The tournament – twice crowned World’s Best Golf Event – has become a global showcase for Adelaide, reaching nearly 900 million viewers across 180 territories.
