Now in its 36th year, the MercedesTrophy has long been one of the most successful and enduring grassroots amateur golf tournaments in the world. Each year, more than 60,000 Mercedes-Benz customers across the globe compete at local, regional, and national levels for a coveted place at the World Final.

In Australia and New Zealand, Mercedes-Benz customers earned their place at the National Final by competing in qualifying events held by authorised retailers throughout both countries.

Those who qualified were rewarded with the opportunity to play two of the nation’s most iconic courses – The Palms and The Pines – at Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club. Competitors also enjoyed a luxury stay at the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove, enhancing what was already a truly premium golf experience.

The top performers from the event will now go on to represent their nations at the 2025 MercedesTrophy World Final in Stuttgart, Germany, later this year. Each country will send a three-player team.

“It was a true pleasure to host the finalists at Sanctuary Cove for this year’s MercedesTrophy National Final,” said Jaime Cohen, who attended the Final in Australia for the first time since assuming his position as CEO of Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific in 2024.

“The MercedesTrophy is a wonderful event that brings together our valued customers of the brand in a great location for two days of competitive golf and offers them the chance to win a trip to Europe to compete against finalists from 30 other countries from all over the world. It’s a great example of the once-in-a-lifetime experiences available exclusively to Mercedes-Benz owners.”

Adding another level of excitement to the event, players also competed in the exclusive ‘Drive to the Major’ competition. The challenge, held on Hole 1 at The Pines during Friday’s round, awarded a trip to the 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland – including full Mercedes-Benz hospitality – to the competitor who landed nearest to the marked line.

Throughout the tournament, attendees had the chance to view and experience new Mercedes-Benz models, including the striking Mercedes-AMG E 53 Hybrid and the sleek Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Cabriolet.
