A NEW Jordan Spieth ad for Coca-Cola was released on Thursday in conjunction with Spieth beginning his US Open title defence. But it turned out to be more appropriate timing than the soft drink giant could have ever imagined.
Spieth was called off a soggy Oakmont course twice before finishing his opening nine holes of the tournament. And now, thanks to this ad, we can imagine how the 22-year-old star is passing the time during the delays.
Funny enough, the premise for the ad actually came about because Coca-Cola was having trouble finding time to shoot Spieth in good weather. Not sure what the original idea was, but it would have been tough to top this outcome.
ESPN’s Darren Rovell also reports that the same guy who was involved in Tiger Woods’ famed juggling commercial for Nike was also a part of this improvisation. Talk about a creative genius.
