Former World No. 1 golfer Jon Rahm remained No. 1 in a different ranking when it comes to getting paid.
The Spaniard topped Forbes’ list of highest-paid golfers for a third consecutive year with total earnings of $111 million. According to Forbes, Rahm made $101 million of that through on-course earnings including his contract with LIV Golf that has been estimated to be worth $300 million.

A pair of PGA Tour stars, Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, are second and third on the list with $79 million and $77 million, respectively. According to Forbes, Scheffler made the bulk of his money on the course ($49 million), while McIlroy made the most off-course earnings ($50 million) of anyone in the sport.
Bryson DeChambeau is fourth on Forbes’ list at $52 million, followed by Tiger Woods in fifth at $46 million. The magazine estimates Woods, who hasn’t made an official PGA Tour start since the 2024 Open Championship due to a variety of injuries and personal issues, only made $1 million of that in on-course earnings, stemming from his TGL team finishing runner-up.
The rest of the top 10 are Tommy Fleetwood ($36 million), Hideki Matsuyama, Joaquin Niemann and Xander Schauffele all tied for seventh at $34 million and Collin Morikawa 10th at $33 million.
It will be interesting to see how this list changes going forward with so much uncertainty around LIV Golf. The Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund has withdrawn its financial backing from the league, which is now seeking private investors. Bloomberg reported last month that LIV could potentially file for bankruptcy.
Rahm has stated he doesn’t “see many ways out” of his contract that he still has “several years” left on. Bryson DeChambeau’s contract negotiations reportedly remain ongoing.
