Joel Dahmen was already a hero at TPC Scottsdale’s 16th hole for he and Harry Higgs’ legendary “shirts off for the boys” moment from 2022. His Netflix episode of “Full Swing”, which featured a scene where Dahmen crushed a few White Claws in between US Open qualifying rounds, only further solidified his status as “the people’s golfer”. He didn’t need to do anything else to ingratiate himself to the fine folks at the WM Phoenix Open.

But the man is an overachiever in every sense of the word. Which is why it came as no surprise that Dahmen was slinging T-shirts into the stands on at the stadium hole in the second round, each one coming with an extra gift an a handwritten note. As classy as they come, this guy.

Hard to tell if it’s a $10 or a $20 spot, but it’s all going to the beer fund anyway. We do know Ryan Palmer tosses around $10s when he plays there, so it wouldn’t shock us if Dahmen one-upped him. Inflation is crazy these days. Dahmen, of course, is looking out for the people.
