Kelsey Bennett’s stunning Ladies European Tour season rolled on in Morocco with the Australian nearly pulling off another remarkable victory before being edged out by history-making teenager Anna Huang at the Lalla Meryem Cup.
Bennett looked every bit a winner heading into the final round, having torched the field with a third-round 65 to seize the overnight lead. But it was Huang who had the last word, carding a closing 66 to pip the Queenslander and rewrite the LET record books in the process.
At 17 years, 6 months, and 24 days old, the Canadian prodigy became the youngest player ever to record three wins on the Ladies European Tour. She surpassed the previous benchmark set by former World No. 1 Lydia Ko, who had achieved the same feat at 17 years, 10 months and 7 days across her back-to-back New Zealand Women’s Open titles and the 2015 Women’s Australian Open. Huang also eclipsed another former World No. 1 in Thailand’s Jeeno Thitikul, who completed her own LET hat-trick at 18 years 4 months and 7 days.
Huang’s third LET title follows a stunning back-to-back double in September when she swept the La Sella Open and the Lacoste Ladies Open de France in consecutive weeks.
For Bennett, the runner-up result is far from a disappointment. It is another feather in the cap of what is shaping up as a breakout year on tour. The 26-year-old from Queensland has been a revelation in 2026 and her week in Morocco was a masterclass in front-running golf. She came out firing on Sunday, just as she had on Thursday, rattling off birdies at the 10th, the 12th, the 13th and the 15th to make the turn in 32 and briefly look like she might hold off the relentless Huang.

It wasn’t to be. But Bennett’s season continues to go from strength to strength. Her maiden LET title came at the Australian Women’s Classic at Magenta Shores back in March and she now sits fourth on the Order of Merit, firmly established as one of the tour’s form players heading into the back half of the season.
