This takes Mo-wing the fairways to a whole new level.
In what we understand to be a golfing first, Bonville Golf Resort on the New South Wales north coast has grown a gigantic moustache on its 18th fairway in support of Movember – the global charity focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity.
Staff at Bonville are also taking part with a wide variety of moustaches starting to take shape on their faces.
The club has thrown its support behind the month of the hairy top lip through collection boxes around the property, as well as general awareness on its scoreboard, Movember flags and other merchandise.
“Our golf carts have information in them to encourage all golfers to donate,” says club general manager Brad Daymond.
“We have also started a team – ‘Bonville Golf Resort – Home of the Big Mo – and this team will compete in the Hospitality Industry Challenge to compete with other mo growers across our sector and around Australia.”
