There’s an eclectic group at the top of the leaderboard at the Honda Classic entering the final round. Veteran Chris Kirk, a four-time PGA Tour winner whose last victory came in 2015, holds a two-stroke lead over rookie Eric Cole with another first-year tour member, Justin Suh, trailing by three.
Four strokes off the pace is Shane Lowry, a major champion playing with a heavy heart after the unexpected death of his uncle on Thursday, and yet another young player seeking his maiden tour title in Ben Taylor. Five back is Sepp Straka, the defending champion, and Byeong Hun An, who is one of 14 golfers to have earned more than $10 million on tour but without a victory to his credit.
