Only seven events remain on the LPGA after this week’s Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, which boasts a $3 million purse with the winner taking home $450,000 at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Ark.
There are some members of the Solheim Cup that are in the field, including U.S. captain Stacy Lewis, who made the cut and is adored by the galleries, especially since she played college golf in Arkansas. Jennifer Kupcho, Lexi Thompson, Ally Ewing, Lilia Vu and Megan Khang are among the Americans who are here. For the Europeans, Carlota Ciganda, Celine Boutier, Georgia Hall, Madelene Sagstrom, Maja Stark, Leona Maguire and Emily Kristine Pedersen all made the cut.
After this week there will be a week off before the LPGA heads to Asian for four events in October. After that the tour will finish the season with a week in Hawaii, then two straight in Florida.
