It’s Year 4 for LIV Golf and the league is back with 54 players playing 14 events around the world. Up first, the season-opener at Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia where the 54-hole event is being played under the lights.
The field is playing for its customary $20 million purse with the winner taking home $4 million for the victory. The winning team will split $3 million.
There were some minor tweaks to the LIV Golf rosters in the offseason, but overall, there was not big movement or any major additions to the circuit. Jon Rahm, Joaquin Niemann, Sergio Garcia, Tyrrell Hatton and Brooks Koepka were the top five in standings from 2024 and are all back. As is Bryson DeChambeau, the current U.S. Open champion. His Crushers team won the overall team title last year, topping Rahm’s Legion XIII.
