Golf fans are in for a real treat at Stonecutters Ridge next month when two-time World Long Drive Champion Jamie Sadlowski makes his Australian professional debut at the NSW Open.

Described as the longest professional golfer on the planet, Sadlowski is going to excite fans of golf not only in Western Sydney but across the State when he tees it up next month.

Sadlowski, who boasts a record-setting personal best of 445 yards (405 metres) in long drive competition, can still drive the ball nearly 90 metres (100yards) further than the longest hitters on the PGA tour.

Sadlowski won back-to-back World titles in 2008 and 2009. He has made nine consecutive TV finals and never finished worse than 5th in the world.

“Jamie will be a massive drawcard for fans,” Golf NSW General Manager of Golf, Graeme Phillipson said. ” He’s very impressive to watch, We’re thrilled to have him in the field,”

The 28-year-old Professional turned his attention to making it to the PGA tour in recently. He’s played a number of events on the Mackenzie tour in Canada, the Tour, and the Asian Tour with some encouraging results.

“I’m very excited to add the NSW Open to my schedule,” Sadlowski said. “I’m looking forward to a great month of golf in Australia as I make my debut on the Australian Tour,”

“Professional tournament play is very new to me unlike long drive it requires the entire game,” Sadlowski said

“Special thanks to Golf NSW for extending me an invitation and I look forward to playing in front of the great Aussie fans,”

The Canadian should find the big wide fairways of Stonecutters Ridge to his liking.

“Stonecutters Ridge should suit his game. The par-fives will all be well within his reach so will a few of the par-fours,”

“The fans are going to love him.” Mr Phillipson said.

The NSW Open Golf Championship will be held at Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club, Colebee from the 10th to 13th of November 2016. The tournament forms a key part of the 2016 Australian Summer of Golf. For more information visit
