Don’t try this at home, folks. We can safely say that because one golfer did try it at home – and it led to a disastrous result.
Fortunately, no one was hurt, but one man needs to buy a new window after hitting a bold golf shot from his backyard. And by bold, we mean dumb. Really, really dumb.
The guy looks to have a nice practice net in his backyard, but apparently that wasn’t good enough. So he decided to fire an iron over (or through?) his metal fence. It did not go well. Instead, the golf ball ricocheted off the fence and backwards through a window. Rough.
But after a brief moment of shock and disappointment, the guy (vtung14 on Reddit) went right back to barbecuing. Talk about being locked in on the most important task at hand. Have a look:
Nice recovery. And nice job spinning a negative into a positive. “New Year, new window,” he writes. “Great way to start it off. Can only go up from here right?”
You’re probably right on that. But we still wouldn’t recommend anyone else trying this at home.
