Golf Australia has announced the appointment of Nicolle Rantanen Reynolds as Vice Chair, with the decision formally ratified by the Golf Australia Board.

Reynolds was elected to the Golf Australia Board in October 2023 and currently chairs the People and Culture Committee, sits on the Risk and Audit Committee, and serves as Golf Australia’s appointed Director to the Australian Golf Services Board.

A professional Non-Executive Director and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Reynolds brings extensive experience across sport, government and purpose-driven organisations. Her background spans senior governance roles across racing, education, local government and community sectors, following an executive career in government and superannuation. She holds qualifications as a Fellow CPA and a Master’s in Commercial Law.

Beyond the boardroom, Reynolds is a Founding Member and Chair of the Australian Golf Leaders Network and serves as South Australia’s State Chapter lead for the Minerva Network, which connects elite athletes with executive business leaders. A member of The Grange Golf Club in South Australia, she served on its Committee for a decade, including four years as President.

Reynolds said she was honoured to take on the role.

“Golf is a sport with an incredible ability to connect people across communities, generations and backgrounds,” she said. “I’m passionate about ensuring we continue to build a game that is welcoming, inclusive and sustainable for the future.”

Golf Australia Chair Peter Margin welcomed the appointment, pointing to Reynolds’ governance credentials and her connection to the game.

“Nicolle brings outstanding leadership experience across complex, community-focused organisations, as well as a deep connection to golf,” Margin said. “Her appointment as Vice Chair strengthens our Board and reflects our commitment to strong, diverse and future-focused governance.”

The appointment comes as Golf Australia continues to execute its BIG SWINGS 2026–2030 strategy, focused on participation growth, improving the golfer experience, and building a more inclusive and modern game.
