Steelhead XR Irons

THE newest addition to Callaway’s XR family, Steelhead XR Irons combine the beautiful shaping and playability that made the Steelhead X-14 one of the most successful irons of all time. We paid special attention to some of the design aspects on the original Steelhead Iron, including a slightly longer blade length, a slightly more rounded toe and the signature hosel-to-face transition.

The speed and distance of Steelhead XR Irons is based on Callaway’s next-generation 360 Face Cup technology, which allows the edges of the ultra-thin face to freely flex and release at impact with greater efficiency, adding ball speed that promotes more distance, especially on off-centre hits.  The boost in face speed is so significant it’s hiked the COR up to almost .830 – the USGA  limit.

Callaway Steelhead HR Irons

More speed and distance on mis-hits is made possible by the modern Hollow Bore-Thru hosel design, which allowed Callaway engineers to remove weight from the hosel and reposition it in strategic areas within the head to: 1) Increase MOI for more forgiveness on mis-hits. 2) Precisely position the CG strategically in the long, middle and short irons. Great feel and sound come from the company’s new steel-infused polyurethane layer positioned low in the head, behind the lower portion of the face. In addition to absorbing unwanted impact vibration to promote a remarkably satisfying sound and feel at impact, it also helps lower the CG to promote faster ball speed and higher launch characteristics for more distance. Put it all together and you have an iron that delivers the finest combination of speed, forgiveness, distance and control to ever emerge from the Callaway R&D department. RRP: $154.99 per club (steel), $169.99 (graphite).

PING

iBlade

PING iBlade
INTRODUCING the PING iBlade, a blade-style iron that follows the highly popular S55 model, which amassed more than 50 wins around the world since its introduction more than two years ago. Better ballstrikers will appreciate a thinner top rail, minimal offset, straight lead edge and sharp high toe. Meanwhile, refined bounce angles and ample heel relief, with the same sole width as the S55 iron, produce a workable sole design for confident shot making from all conditions. The body is precision cast from soft, high strength-to-weight ratio 431 stainless steel. The result? The softest, purest feel ever in a PING iron.

Vault Series Putters

PING Vault Series Putters
PING’s success in putters on the professional tours goes back to its beginnings in 1959. Now comes the Vault, a series of four models milled from billets of either 303 stainless steel or 6061 T-6 aircraft grade aluminium. The series name refers to PING’s legendary vault of more than 2,000 gold putters produced for when a pro tournament is won by a player using a PING putter. The Vault line includes two blade models milled from 303 stainless steel (Anser 2, Voss) and two mallets milled from 6061 T-6 aluminium (Oslo, Bergen). Both models are available in platinum or slate finishes. But for the first time in PING’s history of milled putters each model will feature grooves milled directly in the putter’s face. In addition to the Anser model, the three other models are named for towns in Norway, the home country of PING founder Karsten Solheim. Each model also features PING’s new PP62 grip, an oversized, polymer-construction model aimed at more consistent grip pressure.

Cleveland

RTX-3 Wedges

Cleveland RTX-3 Wedges
The latest line of advanced, high-performance wedges from Cleveland are available in a Blade (three finishes), Cavity Back, and Women’s Cavity Back models to suit a wide range of golfers. The RTX-3 range features three key technologies proven to help you get closer to the hole than any wedge Cleveland Golf has ever made, including new Feel Balancing Technology – patent-pending technology that shifts the centre of gravity closer to the centre of the wedge face to decrease vibration and maximise head stability at impact. Then there’s V Sole Grinds –three tour-proven grinds featuring a V shape with more leading edge bounce to help get the club head through the turf faster at impact. This promotes crisper feel and more consistent head speed for increased spin and control. Finally, there’s the Rotex Face and new Tour Zip Grooves that have a deeper, narrower U shape with a sharp edge radius in all lofts to enhance contact across a wide variety of conditions.  The Cleveland Golf RTX-3 wedge line is available in lofts from 46° to 64° in both right-handed and left-handed options with a recommended retail price of $199.99 per club.
