Stop us if you’ve heard this one before: Novak Djokovic is the world’s top-ranked men’s tennis player. Even at the age of 36, “Joker” is still going strong. But tennis’ next generation of superstars has finally arrived, led by 20-year-old Carlos Alcaraz, who is nipping at Djokovic’s heels as the world No.2 heading into 2024.

Eyebrows were thus arched in tennis this weekend when the duo joined up for a joint practice session. Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal and were always civil, but Alcaraz and Djokovic’s pow-wow was a whole other level of hunk dory. The pair got more than just intel on each other’s serves, with Alcaraz offering a sneak peek of something even more important:

His putting stroke.

We guess it’s only fair after the Serbian slammer revealed his swing at last month’s Ryder Cup.

We’re pretty sure Alcaraz’s putter isn’t regulation, but we’ll let this one slide. We’re just glad to see the 2023 Wimbledon champion following in his countryman Nadal’s footsteps. Nadal was a massive golf nut throughout his storied career, and here’s hoping Alcaraz lives up to that legend both on and off the court.
