Bryson DeChambeau is still not done parading around with his US Open trophy. Nor should he be.
On Saturday evening, the two-time major champion made a surprise appearance at Gerald J. Ford Stadium where 20th-ranked Southern Methodist University, DeChambeau’s alma mater, played undefeated Pittsburgh in an enormous ACC clash. The Mustangs, a seven-point favourite, absolutely rolled the 18th-ranked Panthers 48-25 to extend their winning streak to six.
In other words, the vibes were at an all-time high in the SMU student section, where DeChambeau appeared with the trophy early in the second quarter while the Ponies already had an 18-point lead:

Oh yeah, they were never losing this game.
Here’s how DeChambeau made his entrance. Kingly:

It’s been said before, but for Americans there really must not be anything quite like returning to your college as a sports hero. Just an endless shower of adoration. Multiply that by 10 when you’ve got a major championship trophy in tow.
